Anna is a 28-year-old Baylor University graduate holding a Bachelor of Arts. She majored in Professional Writing and minored in Poetry. Her poem, “Needlepoint,” was published by Baylor University’s literary magazine, The Phoenix, in 2020. She has published a variety of collections, including Elizabeth Young: The Mind’s Mess, The Moon Reaches For Me, Thank You For The Flowers, Violet Afternoon, Adaptations, Snow Hills, Befriending Longing, and Sailing Club. New collections are always being developed.
Anna has been writing poetry since she was 15 years old. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, watercolor painting, nature walks, figure skating, and her Miniature Australian Shepherds, Honey and Polkadot. Currently, Anna is a graduate student at Colorado Christian University, obtaining a master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy. She lives in Boulder, Colorado but was raised in Plano, Texas. Anna turns to various art forms to digest the world, poetry being one of the most fulfilling. This perspective is reflected in her motto, “Poetry is a door to the unspeakable.”
